Introduction to “Theory U”: Leading from the future as it emerges

A group of 16 ITT students, alumni and staff members met for a workshop on “Theory U” – a change management method – at Altenberg/Odenthal.

The tools thought at the workshop allowed the participants to discover conscious ways of approaching and leading change initiatives. For example the quality of listening and practiced empathetic was redefined and trained. As we are living in a fast-paced world where complexity keeps rising, dealing with uncertain factors is on our daily working agenda. The learned theories and techniques will help the participants to be more authentic and truthful in decision finding, actions and leadership orientation and to deal with those uncertainties.
