New Director at the ITT

We warmly welcome Sabine Schlüter as the newly elected Executive Director of the ITT.

She is now in charge of the ITT management. Since 2007, she holds the professorship for Environmental and Resource Economics in the Tropics and Subtropics. Sabine Schlüter worked as project manager and consultant on agricultural information systems in the EU context as well as on rural development in developing countries. She has extensive research experience in Latin America, Southeast Asia and Northafrica now being among the most active researching professors of the TH Köln.

“I am very proud of the expressions of confidence I have experienced and received so far. For me, being at the ITT is not only a job but a mode of living and acting among friends with a common mission. My aim is to encourage and enable the continuous strive of lecturers and staff together with ITT students to maintain ITT as an inspiring place to be, to learn and to work.”

Sabine Schlüter takes over the responsibility of Executive Director of the ITT from Prof. Dr. Lars Ribbe, who has been in charge for 10 years.

“I am more than thankful to my predecessor Lars Ribbe for enabling me to take over after his leadership through an impressive development of  the ITT towards an internationally highly recognized trademark for Higher Education, research and international networking.”
