Friends of the ITT e.V.

ITT´s supporting association

About

Since the founding of the ITT in 1998, the institute has been supported by the association. The non-profit association engages in fundraising, establishes contacts to experts and supports important ITT goals and projects.

The International Association presents international students and alumni, as well as representatives of institutes and partner institutions. The special features of the study programs at ITT, such as the solidarity and composition of the students from all over the world, research activities and scientific events, come with certain demands and challenges.

The association provides support where there is a lack of resources and is thus an important support in the effort to guarantee a high quality educational experience at ITT.

Our Objectives

• Promoting the development of the institute by connecting and intensifying contacts with relevant institutions.

• The promotion of ITT studies. Providing assistance in the nancing of excursions and project work.

• The awarding of extraordinary study achievements – money and material prizes will be awarded for the best Master thesis of the year in a festive award ceremony.

• To promote the innovative and social commitment of the students, through money and material resources for the realization of student activities.

• To support public relations, e.g. the organization of symposium, conferences and the promotion of publications

Renaming Freunde und Förderer des ITT e.V. – now “Friends of the ITT” e.V.

In May Chairmann Prof. h.c. Dr. Hartmut Gaese relinquished his lead of the association. Since the founding in 1998 he held the Board. The association is very grateful for many years of leadership and furthermore promoting sustainable development of the association. Through his engagement student life at ITT has become more colorful, many students have received fundings and awards for special achievements were established. The members of the association are primarily alumni of the ITT, who appreciate him as an open and cordial person. He opened doors and promoted the ITT family. Dr. Udo Nehren, as the new chairman of the association, takes over this position with great respect for the achievements of Prof. Gaese and has set himself the goal of continuing the association as a contribution to the ITT community.

The association will, in order to respond the internationality, now carry the English name “Friends of the ITT e.V.”. As a sign of cohesion and specificity of the institute.
